Our reopening after our move from Texas to the hilltop in Pennsylvania has been slow but we do have some books online and we have been selling to our customers.
Recently, however, we were dealt a near-fatal blow by the credit card industry and our online shop provider.
Protection of your credit card information is an industry-wide priority. The good folks who provided our online shopping experience weren't in compliance and they apparently aren't going to be anytime soon. (There is a soap opera quality sub-plot to this tale but we're not going there.) Our option was to stay open offering payment through PayPal or Google Wallet or close. We elected to close.
Our solution is NOT pretty but we hope you'll find it efficient. It is NOT completely up and running today but we hope it will be soon. Pogo's Place Books and any links lurking out on the web will route you to Pogo's Place.
