We've been living in temporary quarters in a townhouse for almost a year. Adjacent to our neighborhood is a lovely three street neighborhood.
Last Saturday most of the residents participated in a community yard sale. In addition to the usual yard sale items, kids made and sold snow cones, lemonade, hot dogs and other treats. People who weren't selling were still out visiting with neighbors and those from outside the neighborhood who came to shop.
It was lovely to spend half an hour on a friend's porch watching the comings and goings.
Just now I came home to find many yards festooned with a sign from a local Realtor congratulating the 2011 graduates of Selinsgrove High School with the name of the graduate from that home written in calligraphy.
We'll be in the Valley one year next week. I give it an A+.
